"SPLIT/ PERSONALITY" WAS A HIT!

I ventured out into some new material and I triumphed. I performed Feb. 7 & 8 at Casita del Campo's CAVERN CLUB THEATER. The first night was shaky for me. I was so nervous. But by the 8th I edited out the things that did not work and I delivered a tight fun show. No longer than 1 hour. Here's the set list:

"Nobody Does It Better" was in a perfect pitch for Cher. Several ovations.

Samantha Sang threw everybody off and they seemed really into it, singing along.

Liza was funny too.

The Peggy Lee with a Jimmy story was funny.

Etc... I had fun.

 Nathan & Sean came to the show... BTW They are wearing ginormous platform shoes. The picture makes me look short. Really short!

Yesterday I landed back in Los Angeles. I hit the ground running. I've barely had time to listen to the Justin Bieber arrest. LOL! So many things in the works. Maybe I was gone about 1 week too many in
San Antonio, but I don't care. Visiting Mom is golden to me.

I'm preparing to do a big private event Jan. 31 in Palo Alto, CA.
Also preparing for my show "SPLIT/PERSONALITY" at Casita del Campo Feb. 7 & 8.

January 28th I go to Palm Springs to resume my regularly scheduled (once a month last Tuesdays of the month) shows at STREETBAR on Arenas St.  8p / no cover.

Time to get back to work. And pump up the workouts! I gotta lose 10 pounds by Monday! haha.

HELLO 2014! COME SEE ME!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014

I have to admit, it just feels better to enter 2014 and to be done with that number "2013." Sorry "13" I don't know why you're so un-loved but it's been ingrained in us. Thankfully we won't see you for another  100 years. I don't like to think of myself as superstitious but "13" is well...unlucky. It's just so ingrained in us to stay away from it. Even hotels will avoid numbering a floor with "13."  

So on with 2014! I feel optimistic. I have a huge list of things to conquer. So much ahead. As my long Holiday vacation in San Antonio comes to an end, I look forward with renewed eyes. I let go of people and situations that just don't feel right. I'm going to hunker down and delve deeper into more opportunities and to think outside the box. Whenever I've done this, I've always come out ahead. I don't like to do what everybody else is doing. That has never felt right. HELLO 2014! Let's embrace life!

WHAT HAVE I DONE?

I know I have to build up my email list and I want to organize it by regions so that I can target my fans in various parts of the U.S. when I tour.

So on my Facebook I announced if you give me your name, address, email and phone number (optional), I will mail you a vintage b&w photo of me as Marilyn Monroe - autographed.

Well.... the response was OVERWHELMING. WHAT HAVE I DONE? This is going to be a real chore over the Holidays. I think I have over 400 responses. YIKES!

In one regard I'm flattered, but in another I'm shocked at how much tedious work I have ahead of me this Holiday...lol.

I'm booked FEB 7 & 8, 2014 at CASITA DEL CAMPO in Silverlake, CA. 

I'm in San Antonio now for the Holidays but before I left L.A. I did a guest appearance at Casita in the annual FRUITCAKE FOLLIES comedy show. Here's a photo backstage with the other special guest

I was brought in to do my infamous comedy Christmas song as Bette Davis singing "FELIZ NAVIDAD."
We did a 4p show and an 8p show. In between shows the cast was treated to a Mexican dinner upstairs in the restaurant. So good! There's a reason this restaurant has been around over 40 years.

'twas the night before Thanksgiving and Dr. Christmas (Bob Prenga) threw his popular fun Christmas party on the top floor of The Hollywood Museum. TG buffet (so good) and the cupcakes were heaven. 

Thursday I had 2 TG parties to go to but I only made it to 1. I don't drink but I had a couple and suddenly it was too dark and rainy and late to make it to the 2nd party.
